Parent teacher Association:
All parents of the school are members of the Parents Teacher Association (PTA). The PTA works closely with the Board of Management, Principal and staff to build an effective partnership between home and school. Through the PTA, the parents in the school can work together for the best education for their children.
The role of the Parents Association:
The PTA role is to support and empower parents to be active in the best interests of their children’s educational lives. It also works alongside the Board of Management, Principal and the whole school community for the betterment of the children in the school.
One of the main activities of the PTA is fundraising and running annual events. The PTA put forward and the BOM approve activities to be held for fundraising purposes.
The funds raised are then reinvested in the annual PTA activities or other items as agreed between PTA and BOM.
The PTA has been involved in projects such as:
- Disco fundraiser
- Cinema Night Fundraiser
- Playground maintenance
- Santa’s visit
- Christmas Party
- Co-ordinating Children’s Festival/Sports Day when the school is hosting it.
The school’s PTA Committee works tirelessly on behalf of the parents, students and the entire school community and they deserve the support of all the parent body.
